The GB Rowing Team is the high performance arm of British Rowing. Rowing is the nation’s most continuously successful Olympic sport, having won a gold medal in every Olympic Games since 1984, and has won six Paralympic golds since the sport was introduced to the Paralympic Games programme in 2008.

Following the conclusion of this year’s GB U19 rowing season, the annual wash up meeting celebrates the achievements of our U19 rowers and their coaches.
The wash up meeting is an opportunity for coaches of U19 rowers to come together and share the learnings from the year with the U19 GB Pathway Team. Later in the day, the Kitchin Society meets to provide a forum to debate the direction of school and junior rowing and the support required to grow this area of our sport.

The British Rowing High Quality Land Training Workshop provides coaches with the tools to make rowers’ land training as effective as possible, reducing the risk of injury and improving the potential for performance on the water. It covers the key principles of good movement and conditioning for rowers and how to apply them, directly relating these areas of development in the gym to performance on the water.

Today is the kick off for the next intake of coaches looking to progress to Senior Club Coach. The Level 3 Certificate enables you to plan, implement, analyse and revise annual coaching programmes.
The course will ensure you can safely implement a training programme appropriate to the participants that you coach, who may vary in their goals, ages, and abilities.
