GB Rowing TeamPerformance TalentEngland Team: Home International Rowing Regatta England Team: Home International Rowing Regatta England Team 2019 England Rowing The England Team is an opportunity for rowers to trial either in crews or small boats to earn the chance to represent England with their coach, fellow club members or just by themselves. Representing England is a unique development opportunity for both rowers and coaches wishing to gain international experience. For some, it could be the first step to representing Great Britain. The England Team has seen many Olympic and Paralympic rowers receive their first international representation. If selected you’ll be following the footsteps of; Charlotte Hodgkins-Bryne (2015), Charlotte Booth (2014), Emily Ford (2013), Laurence Whiteley (2012), & Sir Steve Redgrave (1978). Trials England trials for the Home International Rowing Regatta 2022 will be held at the London Docklands, on Sunday, 10th July or through GBRT Junior Crew formation. We welcome and encourage entries from anyone who meets the eligibility requirements to represent England. This information, as well as full details of the 2022 England Selection Policy, can be found using the link below. 2022 England Team Selection Policy British Rowing is responsible for the selection of individuals and crews representing England. Teams for Scotland & Wales are selected by Scottish Rowing & Welsh Rowing respectively. Selection policies for these teams can be found as follows: Scotland Wales Training Day Prior to the Home International Rowing Regatta, we host a training day, held at TBC on Sunday, 17th July 2022. This is an opportunity to bring together rowers and coaches from across the country to support the development of the team. We encourage all selected rowers and coaches to attend where possible. The Home International Rowing Regatta The Home International Rowing Regatta is a historic annual competition dating back to 1962 seeing the four “Home Nations” of England, Scotland, Wales & Ireland compete. Every race counts towards combined team trophies for Junior Women, Junior Men, Senior Women and Senior Men. A new racing format, announced in 2020, means rowers will have a minimum of two races, with the majority racing three times. Racing takes place over 2000m for all boat classes (shown below). With the 4x and 8+ racing a second time over 500m. He has been coaching for over 25 years, working with athletes from beginners all the way up to international level, from Bedford to Oxford via Newcastle, London and South Wales, racing all over Europe, North America and Africa. Vacant (Equipment Manager) Text to Come Lucy McNulty (Safeguarding Officer) Having found rowing as an adult, Lucy has enjoyed the sport for 25 years, competing in several masters events. She was Club Welfare Officer at Molesey Boat Club for 4 years and England Rowing Safeguarding Lead since 2020. All rowers attending will be invited to take part in the Performance Talent Rower Report. The reports produced are designed to give a snapshot of the rower and enable the rower, the coach and us to give the best advice on where to focus your development.
