Bristol to host first ever BUCS Indoor Rowing event

The University of the West of England plays host to the BUCS Indoor Rowing Championships on Sunday (4 December) – the first time that a BUCS indoor rowing event has ever been held in Bristol.

More than 250 rowers are expected to take part in the event, which will be adjudicated by GB Rowing Team coach Paul Stannard.

Rowers will compete over a virtual 2km course, with beginners contesting a reduced 1km distance.

‘This is a welcome opportunity to showcase the rowing talent in Bristol and put the determination of the rowers to the test,’ said UWE Head Rowing Coach Stuart Redden.

The event will begin at 9am on Sunday, and spectators are welcome to attend.
